...AN AREA OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT SOUTHWESTERN POPE...
SOUTHERN STEVENS AND NORTHWESTERN SWIFT COUNTIES...

At 851 AM CDT, strong thunderstorms were clustered near Hancock, or 9
miles south of Morris, moving east at 30 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph and dime size hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Hancock, Lake Oliver, Clontarf and Danvers.

This includes the following highways...
 U.S. Highway 12 between mile markers 36 and 39.
 U.S. Highway 59 between mile markers 146 and 160.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
