Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central Kentucky and Southern Indiana
National Weather Service Louisville KY
357 AM EDT Mon May 6 2024

.DISCUSSION...Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected
across the region over the next few days, with strong to severe storms
possible Tuesday through Thursday morning. Today, a moist air mass
will be positioned over the region, with relative humidity values
expected to be higher than on Sunday. Weak low-level winds and limited
mixing heights due to low-level cloud cover will hinder smoke dispersal
values today. Stronger SW winds and deeper mixing is expected tomorrow;
however, ongoing precipitation chances and increasingly wet fuels are
expected to hinder burning conditions.
