Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains
National Weather Service Goodland KS
233 PM MDT Tue Apr 16 2024

Strong low pressure moving through Nebraska and an associated
cold front brought windy conditions, some blowing dust as well as
scattered light rain showers to the region today. Northwest winds
gusted over 60 mph at times, causing plumes of blowing dust to
develop. The light rain showers resulted in only a few hundredths
of moisture and did little to stop the blowing dust. Afternoon
temperatures were in the 60s.

OUTLOOK... tonight will see diminishing winds and clearing skies
with lows in the 30s and 40s. Wednesday will be mostly sunny and
warm with highs in the upper 70s to around 80. A cold front will
move through Wednesday night with a chance for light rain showers
and gusty north winds. Lows will be in the 30s. The rest of the
week will be cooler with occasional chances for light rain
showers. Highs will be in the 50s and lows in the 20s and 30s.
