.SYNOPSIS...
Scattered showers and maybe a rumble of thunder possible late
this afternoon and evening with blustery winds. Milder, and dry
weather returns through Tuesday...becoming quite dry and gusty
on Monday. Low pressure approaches the region toward mid- week,
likely bringing the next chance for widespread rain on Wednesday.

.NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 AM SUNDAY MORNING/...
A few pop up showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected
for late this afternoon and evening, especially across
northwestern areas. A shortwave pivots through Quebec over the
next few hours, with some gusty showers already showing up
across Upstate New York and Vermont. Some pea sized hail is also
possible with these with cold air aloft.

These showers dissipate as they move eastward through the late
evening hours, with mostly dry conditions expected by and after
midnight. Cooler and drier air steadily filters in overnight
behind today`s passing cold front, with lows cooling into the
20s and 30s across northern New England. Decreasing clouds are
expected through the overnight hours.

.SHORT TERM /6 AM SUNDAY MORNING THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT/...
A seasonably cool and mainly dry day is expected tomorrow, with
highs in the 50s downwind of the mountains, and 40s through the
mountains. The day starts off mostly sunny, but clouds increase
through the afternoon hours as another cold front swings
through late in the afternoon. This will be a mostly dry front,
with just a few showers across the northern mountains.
Elsewhere, the passage of the front will mainly only be marked
by an increase in clouds and a wind shift.

Cooler and drier air spills in behind this front tomorrow
night, with lows dipping into the mid 20s across the north, to
the mid 30s along the coastline. High pressure steadily builds
in behind the front overnight tomorrow night. A northwesterly
breeze persists tomorrow night as dry air moves in. Conditions
become gustier towards sunrise on Monday.

.LONG TERM /MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY/...
Quiet and gusty weather are expected Monday and Tuesday, with
gusty WNW flow expected Monday and gusty southwesterly return
flow on Tuesday. Both days will feature below normal
temperatures but Tuesday will be warmer. Blended MOS with NBM
for lows Monday night - it should be quite cold. Tuesday won`t
get to it`s full potential temperature-wise, especially on the
coastal plain as winds will be onshore during the afternoon.

A good portion of the deterministic and ensemble suite show a
wetting rain event centered around Wednesday. However, there
remains considerable disagreement on amplification of the
system, so QPF amounts and rainfall duration are quite uncertain
at this time. There could even be some mountain snows with this
one.

Thereafter, fair but cool weather returns late week.

.AVIATION /19Z SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY/...
Short Term...Any lingering restrictions with showers and MVFR
ceilings lift by late this evening with a return to VFR at most
terminals. Some near MVFR ceilings linger at HIE into tomorrow.
MVFR ceilings likely return to HIE tomorrow afternoon and night,
with VFR prevailing elsewhere.

Long Term...Mainly VFR conditions are expected at most
terminals Monday through Tuesday. Restrictions are likely on
Wednesday as showers and lower ceilings return, with MVFR to IFR
conditions likely. Improvement is likely on Thursday, but a
return to VFR may take until Thursday night.

.MARINE...
Short Term...A cold front crosses the waters through this
evening, with a few westerly gusts to near 25 kts overnight.
Another front crosses the waters late tomorrow afternoon, with
southwesterly winds gusting to near 25kts again, and then
shifting to westerly overnight tomorrow night. High pressure
begins to build in tomorrow night.

Long Term...High pressure builds in Monday with it moving
offshore on Tuesday. SCA conditions are possible in
northwesterly flow Monday morning. The high moves east of the
waters by Tuesday as a cold front approaches from the west, with
SCA conditions likely in southwesterly then south flow Tuesday
and Wednesday.
