.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 957 PM EDT Fri Apr 19 2024

Currently - The flow aloft has become essentially zonal with the
subtropical jet aligned near our latitude. meanwhile, lower to mid
level ridging remains dominant across our broader area. While
weaker, the surface ridge remains stretched across the Florida
Peninsula and is maintaining gentle mostly easterly breezes across
the Keys and surrounding waters. This evening sounding indicated
the subsidence inversion remains more than sufficiently strong to
inhibit convection. This along with a weaker flow with a backing
profile has precluded the formation of any shower activity through
the evening hours.

Short Term Update - Surface through mid level ridging will
dominate Keys weather through the overnight period. Surface
ridging across Florida will maintain gentle mostly easterly
breezes. This steady flow will keep most locations in the mid 70s.
However, interior and protected locations may radiate into the
lower 70s. Dew points will remain in the upper 60s to near 70.
Stable conditions will continue and rain chances will remain nil.
