Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
827 PM MDT Sat May 19 2018

.Discussion...

Isolated to scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will continue
over some of the mountains and portions of the southeast plains
through about midnight.

Another round of thunderstorm can be expected over the mountains on
Sunday. These could produce some small hail and locally heavy rain.

Daily afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms will be possible
each day next week with a lull in the activity expected for Wednesday
as some drier and warmer air works in. This could be a marginal
critical fire weather day, however winds may come up just shy of
criteria.

Smoke dispersion rates will drop into the poor category towards sunset
as strong surface based inversions develop overnight. Inversions will
start to break around 0900 across the mountains and after noon across
the plains with smoke dispersion rates rising into the very good to
excellent category over the mountains and into the fair to good category
across the plains.
