Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
355 AM MDT Mon Apr 23 2018

.Discussion...

Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible over
mainly the mountains today, although a few showers will
move across interior valleys and the Palmer Divide this
afternoon and evening. Overnight and Tuesday, a chance of
rain and snow showers will spread across much of the area
as a cold front drops south through Colorado. Snow levels
will fall to around 6000 feet behind the front late
tonight and Tuesday, with some light accumulations
possible. After a very warm day today, temperatures will fall
back to well below seasonal averages on Tuesday.

Mostly dry conditions will develop across the region on
Wednesday, then isolated showers and thunderstorms return
to mainly the mountains from Thursday into the weekend.
Temperatures will gradually warm back to above average levels
by late week into the weekend.

Afternoon smoke dispersion will range from very good to
excellent over the mountains today, while the plains
reach good to very good levels. On Tuesday, most of the
region will see good or better dispersion, although portions
of the eastern mountains may only see poor to fair values.
