Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
601 AM MDT Fri Apr 20 2018

.Discussion...

Rain and snow will spread across the region today, with wetting
precipitation possible at many locations. Areas along the
Continental Divide, the Pikes Peak region and the far eastern
plains will see the heaviest precipitation, with snowfall amounts
of up to a foot likely over the higher peaks. Isolated
thunderstorms will accompany the rain and snow this afternoon
and tonight, especially over the eastern plains. Precipitation
will gradually end Saturday as the system moves away from the region.

Drier and warmer weather will develop on Sunday, before a series
of weak weather systems brings back a chance for some light
rain and snow showers to the region beginning Monday and continuing
through the majority of the week. Temperatures will remain
within a few degrees of seasonal averages through the week.

Smoke dispersion will reach good or better levels across most
of the area today and again on Saturday.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
