Dominant high pressure led to sunny skies and fair weather across
the area today, with early evening IR satellite imagery showing
only a thin cirrus deck over the forecast area. With winds
subsiding today, the Rip Current Statement has been allowed to
expire as of 8 PM. The forecast looks on track with temperatures
warming slightly on Sunday under continued sunny skies. No
significant changes planned for the evening update.

Seas will continue to decrease through tonight as westerly swell
weakens with building high pressure across the area. High pressure
then shifts into the Atlantic with mostly east-southeast winds
remaining in place well into the new week, though daily sea
breezes will allow for winds to trend onshore during the afternoon
hours. Seas may then increase slightly by the middle of the week
as a brief pulse of southerly swell arrives but overall an
extended period of favorable marine conditions is expected with
dry weather accompanying the high pressure in the Atlantic.
