At 342 PM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain generally in
northwest Arkansas and also north of I44 and also west of a Eufaula
to Hugo line. Thunderstorms with locally heavy rain were located in
Nowata and Washington counties in Oklahoma and Washington county in
Arkansas. The precipitation was in the Bentonville, Rogers and
Fayetteville area. Movement was to the east at around 30 mph. The
average amount where it rained last hour was around one tenth of an
inch with maximum amounts of an inch to an inch and a half.
Intensity increased during the last hour. The Tulsa area forecast
for late this afternoon and into this evening, partly sunny, a
chance of showers and thunderstorms with temperatures 72 to 77
degrees and west winds 5 to 10 mph.
