...HIGH SURF ADVISORY FOR EAST FACING SHORES OF KAUAI OAHU MOLOKAI
MAUI AND THE BIG ISLAND...

.A long fetch due to the flow around a surface high over the
northeastern Pacific will send a series of short-period east
swells into the local waters during the next several days. The
first of these is expected to increase tonight and Tuesday, and
peak Tuesday evening, before lowering Wednesday.

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM TUESDAY TO 6 AM HST
WEDNESDAY...

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a High Surf
Advisory, which is in effect from 6 AM Tuesday to 6 AM HST
Wednesday.

* SURF...Along east facing shores, 7 to 10 feet.

* TIMING...Building Tuesday morning, peaking Tuesday evening,
  then lowering Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Moderate...Expect strong breaking waves, shore break,
  and strong longshore and rip currents making swimming difficult
  and dangerous.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Beachgoers, swimmers, and surfers should heed all advice given by
ocean safety officials and exercise caution.
