REMARKS...

2016 AT THE GRAND FORKS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT SITE WAS MUCH WARMER
AND WETTER THAN AVERAGE. THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF 44.4 DEGREES
TURNED OUT TO BE THE HIGHEST RECORDED SINCE MEASUREMENTS BEGAN IN
1941.

DURING 2016 26.73 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION FELL, A GOOD 6 INCHES
ABOVE AVERAGE AND GOOD ENOUGH TO RANK 2ND ON THE LIST. THE HIGHEST
TOTAL OF 27.77 INCHES WAS RECORDED IN 2010.

SNOWFALL WAS RELATIVELY LOW, THE HIGHER DECEMBER AMOUNTS SOMEWHAT
OFFSET BY THE DEARTH OF SNOWFALL DURING THE EARLY PART OF THE YEAR.
THE 36.6 INCHES WAS ABOUT 10 INCHES BELOW AVERAGE.
