High pressure will continue to sit over the Inland Northwest today. This will bring a period of dry and warm weather through the weekend. Winds will be light and diurnally driven today. Onshore flow will return to the western side of the state on Saturday, with breezy winds through the Cascade Valleys Saturday evening. A system will approach the region on Sunday. The biggest fire weather concerns will be across central Washington where breezy to locally gusty west winds following several days of hot and dry conditions will result in elevated fire weather conditions. This system will be mostly dry across the Inland Northwest with a 15% chance for showers across the Cascade crest and mountains of north Idaho Sunday night through Monday.
