...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN MCPHERSON...
NORTHEASTERN RICE...SOUTHEASTERN ELLSWORTH AND SOUTHWESTERN SALINE
COUNTIES THROUGH 600 PM CDT...

At 520 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Lyons, moving northeast at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Lyons, Lindsborg, Marquette, Little River, Geneseo, Brookville,
Falun, Kanopolis Lake, and Kanopolis State Park.

This includes Interstate 135 between Mile Markers 73 and 78.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for central
Kansas. A Tornado Watch also remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for
central Kansas.
