...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 600 PM EDT...

For the following areas...
Tidal Potomac from Cobb Island MD to Smith Point VA...
Tidal Potomac from Indian Head to Cobb Island MD...

At 514 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Colonial Beach to Wicomico River to near Breton
Bay, moving southeast at 25 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 48 knots and large hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Boaters could easily be thrown overboard by suddenly higher
         wind and waves capsizing their vessel. Boats could suffer
         significant damage in high winds and hail.

Locations impacted include...
Yeocomico River, Breton Bay, Saint Clements Bay, Piney Point, Mouth
Of The Potomac River, Cobb Island, Point Lookout, Tall Timbers, Swan
Point, Coltons Point, Nomini Bay, Coles Point, U.S. 301 Nice Memorial
Bridge, Saint George Island, Wicomico River, White Point Beach, Popes
Creek, Westmoreland State Park, and Colonial Beach.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
Wind gusts in excess of 48 knots, large hail, high waves, dangerous
lightning, and heavy rain are possible with these storms.
