...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN NASH...SOUTHERN
EDGECOMBE AND NORTHEASTERN WILSON COUNTIES THROUGH 745 PM EDT...

At 706 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Elm City, or 8 miles south of Rocky Mount, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Rocky Mount, Tarboro, Elm City, Princeville, Sharpsburg, Pinetops,
Macclesfield, Conetoe, Tar River Reservoir, and Willbanks.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
central North Carolina.
