A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas...
Lake Michigan nearshore and open waters to mid lake from Sheboygan WI
to Wind Point WI...

Thunderstorms will become more numerous across southern and
southeastern portions of Lake Michigan over the next one to two
hours. Small hail, gusty winds to 30 knots, and frequent to
continuous lightning can be expected from this activity. The
movement of the storms will be from southwest to northeast at
between 30 and 40 knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.

Intense lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
