...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM TO 7 PM MDT
SUNDAY...
* WHAT...West winds 35 to 50 mph with gusts up to 65 mph expected.
* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, northeast, and
southeast New Mexico.
* WHEN...From 10 AM to 7 PM MDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Areas of blowing dust will reduce visibility.
Areas near construction sites and recently plowed fields will be
especially susceptible to blowing dust and very low visibility.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Take action to secure trash cans, lawn furniture, and other loose or
lightweight outdoor objects. Extremely hazardous driving conditions
can be expected, especially for motorists in high profile vehicles
who should consider delaying travel.

* WHERE...Chaves County Plains.
* WHEN...From 10 AM to 7 PM MDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult,

create dangerous travel conditions on roadways, including along
US-285 near Roswell. Areas near construction sites and recently
plowed fields will be especially susceptible to blowing dust and
very low visibility. Road closures are possible.
