Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
308 AM MDT Fri Apr 19 2024

.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...A cool and moist airmass will
prevail today, with snow showers becoming more numerous through
the afternoon and then widespread along and east of the Front
Range tonight. Smoke dispersal will be poor from the foothills
across most of the plains today where a more stable airmass
prevails, but good to very good along and west of the Front Range
mountains.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Saturday through Tuesday...
Cool and moist weather will remain across the area Saturday, with
snow gradually diminishing. Smoke dispersal will be poor over the
plains and foothills up to about 9000 feet MSL. Sunday will be
warmer and drier with better smoke dispersion in the foothills.
Winds will start to increase late Sunday and especially Monday
with warmer and dry weather, and humidities dropping into the 15
to 22 percent range in the lower foothills and adjacent plains.
Slight cooling and lighter winds can then be expected by Tuesday.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
