Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

The overnight hours saw mostly clear skies across the region.
Temperatures as of 2 in the morning ranged from 35 in Kit Carson,
Colorado to 53 in McCook, Nebraska. Winds have generally been from
the west at 5 to 10 mph.

OUTLOOK... Another windy day is in store as winds pick back up to
around 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. Skies will start
mostly sunny with cloud cover increasing during the afternoon
hours. Highs will reach the 60`s and 70`s. Tonight, winds will
lower a bit to around 10 to 20 mph and remain from the west to
northwest. Skies are forecast to be mostly cloudy with lows
dropping into the 30`s and 40`s. Tomorrow, skies are forecast to
clear a bit during the morning to partly cloudy, before cloud
cover returns during the early evening hours. Highs and winds are
forecast to be a bit lower with highs in the 60`s and winds from
the northwest at 10 to 20 mph. A few showers or storms are
possible in Eastern Colorado late in the day.
