...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY...

In 1973, Sandia Crest New Mexico reported a snow depth of
nearly 8 feet; 95 inches to be more exact, to set a state
record.  In 1983 Colorado was in the midst of a 3 day
winter storm.  Buckhorn Mountain, located just west of
Fort Collins, was literally snowed under by 5 to 6 foot
accumulations.
