Open Lake Forecast for Lake Erie

For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Erie

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...
Low pressure 29.50 inches over southern Indiana will move to near
Lake Erie by this evening and to New England by Monday night.
High pressure 30.00 inches will slide across the western great
Lakes Monday and the eastern lakes on Tuesday. Low pressure 29.50
inches from the Plains will cross the Great Lakes mid week.

.TODAY...East gales to 35 knots diminishing to 15 to 25 knots.
Rain showers. Waves 8 to 12 feet subsiding to 6 to 10 feet. Waves
occasionally around 15 feet.
.TONIGHT...East winds 5 to 15 knots becoming west. Rain showers
early, then a chance of rain showers. Waves 3 to 6 feet subsiding
to 1 to 3 feet.
.MONDAY...West winds 15 to 20 knots. A chance of rain and snow
showers in the afternoon. Waves 1 to 3 feet building to 2 to
4 feet.
.MONDAY NIGHT...West winds 20 to 25 knots. A chance of snow and
rain showers in the evening, then a chance of snow showers
overnight. Waves 2 to 4 feet.
.TUESDAY...West winds 15 to 20 knots becoming northwest 5 to
15 knots. Waves 2 to 4 feet subsiding to 2 feet or less.
.WEDNESDAY...East winds 5 to 15 knots becoming southwest. A
chance of rain showers. Waves 2 feet or less.
