Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A weak 30.2 inch inverted trough moves across Lake
Superior today. 30.4 inch ridging builds into the High Plains and
Lake Superior by Saturday morning. A deep low pressure near 29.0
inches ejects out of the Rockies on Sunday. This low begins to
weaken to 29.4 inches as it moves towards the western Great Lakes
on Monday. Its expected to move into western or central Lake
Superior Tuesday or Tuesday evening as it continues to weaken to
29.5 inches before lifting into northern Ontario Wednesday.

15 knots in the afternoon. Waves subsiding to calm to 2 feet.

after midnight. A slight chance of snow after midnight. Waves

.SUNDAY...East winds 10 to 20 knots increasing to 20 to 30 knots
