...Discussion from SFOFWFMTR...

Light rain this evening will end by sunrise Thursday. Some isolated
showers on Thursday but the main forecast theme will be seasonably
cool temperatures with breezy northwest winds behind the front. On
Friday southerly winds will increase during the morning hours with
gusts to 35 mph, especially coast and hills as well as the Salinas
Valley as low pressure offshore deepens. Steady but mainly light to
moderate rain will develop Friday morning along the coast and only
slowly moves inland as the parent low pressure drops down the coast.
Showers and thunderstorms Friday night into early Saturday as the
core of the low drops southward along the California coast. High
pressure builds Sunday through the middle of next week with a
return to dry and milder weather.

...Discussion from SFOFWFEKA...

Showers will gradually diminish today with additional rain focused
along the Humboldt and Del Norte Coast and light snow above
4000 feet. A second round of gusty south and east wind up to 45 mph
in exposed areas will arrive for Mendocino and Lake Counties
Friday. 0.5 to 1.0 inches of rain is most likely. Conditions will
gradually clear and dry into early next week with strong onshore
flow near the coast.
