SOUTHEASTERN MENARD...NORTHERN MASON AND SOUTHWESTERN SAN SABA COUNTIES THROUGH 215 PM CDT... At 129 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Calf Creek, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Brady, Mason, Brady Lake, Pontotoc, Fredonia, Camp San Saba, Streeter, Rochelle, Camp Air, Long Mountain, Calf Creek, Grit, Katemcy, Hext, Voca, Hall, Erna, The Intersection Of Us- 190 And Ranch Road 1311, Us-377 Near The Kimble- Menard County Line, and The Intersection Of Highway 29 And Ranch Road 1222. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm.
