...Data for North Little Rock for April 2018...

.Summary...
April marked a significant change in temperature trends at North
Little Rock. After a few warmer than average months in the late winter and
early spring, April ended over seven degrees below the 30-year
average. Both high and low temperatures (which included several late-
season freezes) were significantly cooler than we would normally see
in April, and were among the coldest ever recorded for the month.

Rainfall was over an inch above average. Even so, this April was the
driest in three years.

For the first time since 2003, and only the 4th time since records
began in late 1975, snow fell during April, but was not measurable.

.Monthly Temperatures...
The average high temperature was the coldest since 1983, and the 2nd
coldest on record. The average low temperature was the coldest since
1983, and the coldest on record. The average monthly temperature was
the coldest since 1983, and the 2nd coldest on record.

It is interesting to note that the average temperature for April
(55.3 degrees) was colder than the average temperature for March
(55.5 degrees). Since records began in 1975, this has only happened
one other time...and that was in 2007.

.Daily Temperatures...
Daily temperatures were above average on six days, average on one
day, and below average on 23 days.

There were three days with low temperatures at or below freezing,
which was the most in April since 2007, and the most on record for
the month of April. Previously, the record was two in 1987 and
tied in 2007.

The freeze on April 16th was the latest freeze since 1983, and the
2nd latest on record. Since records began, the only later freeze was
April 19, 1983.

There were three days with high temperatures at or above 80 degrees,
which was the fewest since 2014.
