Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 841 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen, especially between Toa Alta and Bayamon. These thunderstorms will move over Toa Baja and Dorado, producing similar rainfall totals. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Toa Alta, Sabana Seca, Bayamon, Toa Baja, Dorado, Guaynabo, Vega Alta, Candelaria, Pajaros, Candelaria Arenas, San Jose, Campanilla, Galateo, Rio Lajas, Ingenio, H. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
