Daily River And Lake Summary
National Weather Service Columbia SC
1159 AM EDT Sat May 26 2018

...All area rivers were below flood stage this morning...

Rainfall amounts once again varied widely during the past 24 hours
across central SC and east-central GA. This trend will continue
through the daytime Sunday with scattered showers and thunderstorms
expected during times of peak heating.

Atmospheric moisture will become enhanced Sunday night through
Monday night associated with the circulation around Subtropical
Storm Alberto in the east-central Gulf. As a result, widespread
showers are expected, with the potential for average rainfall
amounts of one to two inches.

Increased streamflows along the middle and lower Savannah River
will continue for the next few days in response to stepped-up
water releases from Lakes Hartwell, Russell and Thurmond.
Significant rises are possible during the week ahead along other
area rivers in response to increased runoff into area and upstate
basins.
