...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN PERSON COUNTY
THROUGH 1245 AM EDT...

At 1222 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Leasburg, or 8 miles west of Roxboro, moving northeast at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Roxboro, Concord, Bethel Hill, Hyco Lake, Mayo Reservoir, and Hyco
Marina.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
