FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
439 AM EDT Sat Aug 24 2019

...Warm and dry this weekend, with winds increasing Sunday...

.DISCUSSION: High pressure overhead this morning will gradually
move eastward today. Therefore, though it will be somewhat dry
today with minimum RH values in the 35 to 40 percent range, there
will be very little wind. That changes Sunday as the high
continues to move away and a cold front gradually approaches from
the west. Between these two features the wind will increase, with
20 to 25 mph gusts possible Sunday afternoon, However, dry air
will remain aloft. This will lead to minimum RH values dropping to
near 30 percent and the possibility of elevated fire weather
conditions. The cold front approaches Monday, bringing showers and
cloudier skies with it.
