Flash and urban flooding possible along the Gulf Coast into the weekend...
Ongoing river flooding across the Central Plains into the Middle
Mississippi Valley...

.Gulf Coast...
Isolated flash and urban flooding continues to be possible today from the
Florida Panhandle to Georgias Atlantic Coast. Wet antecedent conditions
from recent rainfall, particularly across southern Alabama and Georgia and
the Florida Panhandle, leave the region susceptible to flash flooding.
Flooding impacts may also occur in urbanized areas and areas with poor
drainage. Additional rain is expected later in the week and into the
weekend, which reintroduces the potential for flooding impacts. The
HRRR-forced National Water Model indicates up to 50% probabilities for
rapid onset flooding through the overnight hours, supporting the ongoing
threat of flash and urban flooding over the area, and this potential
increases in magnitude and spatial coverage later in the week with the
expected additional rainfall.

.Central Plains into the Middle Mississippi Valley...
Widespread river flooding impacts continue throughout the week as water
continues to route through slow-responding rivers.
