200 SHELTERED FROM MOBILE HOMES. MINOR DAMAGE AROUND THE COUNTY WITH
NUMEROUS TREES BLOWN DOWN AND POWER OUTAGES. A CHICKEN HOUSE IN
PRIDGEN WAS BLOWN DOWN. ONE MOBILE HOME HAD A TREE FALL ON IT WITH
LIMBS PIERCING A CHILD`S BEDROOM IN BUSHNELL. ALSO IN BUSHNELL, A
BACK OFFICE BEHIND A CONVENIENCE STORE HAD ITS ROOF BLOWN OFF AND
WAS LAID DOWN OVER THE ROOF OF THE STORE. THE STORE WAS OPERATIONAL
THE NEXT DAY. UNCONFIRMED REPORTS OF MAJOR ROOF DAMAGE TO A CHURCH
IN AMBROSE, BUT THE CHURCH COULD NOT BE FOUND DURING THE POST STORM
SURVEY.

HOWEVER, PERIPHERY BANDS OF RAINFALL DID IMPACTED THE COUNTY.
BEGINNING AT 1255 PM ON 10/10, A MESONET SITE (WEATHERFLOW) ABOUT 4
MILES WEST OF MAYPORT MEASURED A CONVECTIVE GUST OF 42 MPH. AT 135
PM, A MESONET SITE (WEATHERFLOW) ON BUCK ISLAND MEASURED A
CONVECTIVE GUST OF 40 MPH. A STRONGER BAND OF THUNDERSTORMS
DEVELOPED DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON AND TRACKED NORTHWARD UP THE
FIRST COAST, WITH ANOTHER TORNADIC CELL CROSSING THE WESTSIDE AROUND
THE SAME TIME TOWARD BALDWIN. AT 414 PM, LOCAL MEDIA REPORTED A
FUNNEL CLOUD JUST EAST OF US HIGHWAY 301 NEAR INTERSTATE 10, ABOUT 2
MILES ESE OF BALDWIN. AT 450 PM, A MESONET SITE (WEATHERFLOW)
MEASURED A WIND GUST OF 46 MPH AT THE JACKSONVILLE BEACH PIER. AT
452 PM, THE ASOS AT NAVAL STATION MAYPORT MEASURED A WIND GUSTS OF
41 MPH. AT 456 PM, THE WEATHERFLOW MESONET SITE AT HUGUENOT PARK
MEASURED A WIND GUST OF 47 MPH. AT 750 PM, THE MESONET SITE
(WEATHERFLOW) AT HUGUENOT PARK MEASURED A WIND GUST OF 41 MPH.

BRADFORD COUNTY WAS NOT DIRECTLY IMPACTED BY HURRICANE MICHAEL,
HOWEVER, PERIPHERY BANDS OF RAINFALL DID IMPACT THE COUNTY. AT 305
PM, A TORNADO WAS REPORTED BY CLAY COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ABOUT
5 MILES NNW OF LAKE GENEVA IN FARTHER EASTERN BRADFORD COUNTY. SEE
THE TORNADO SECTION FOR MORE INFORMATION.

A TROPICAL STORM WIND GUST OF 43 MPH WAS MEASURED AT THE BACON
COUNTY AIRPORT ABOUT 2 MILES WSW OF ALMA AT 1025 MPH ON 10/10. AT
1250 AM ON 10/11, THE ASOS STATION AT THE AIRPORT MEASURED A GUST OF
51 MPH. THIS SET A NEW RECORD AS THE STRONGEST WIND GUST REPROTED AT
ALMA DURING THE MONTH OF OCTOBER SINCE RECORDS BEGAN IN 1973.

CLAY COUNTY WAS NOT DIRECTLY IMPACTED BY HURRICANE MICHAEL, HOWEVER,
PERIPHERY BANDS OF RAINFALL DID IMPACTED THE COUNTY. DURING THE
AFTERNOON, OUTER BANDS OF CONVECTION DEVELOPED, WHICH PRODUCED A
COUPLE OF TORNADOES ACROSS THE WESTERN TIER OF THE COUNTY. AT 320 PM
ON 10/10, LAW ENFORCEMENT REPORTED A TORNADO NEAR CAMP BLANDING
TRACKING NORTHBOUND TOWARD STARKE. PLEASE REFER TO THE TORNADO
SECTION FOR MORE INFORMATION.

A PEAK TROPICAL STORM WIND GUST OF 46 MPH WAS MEASURED BY THE
HOMERVILLE AIPORT AWOS AT 815 PM ON 10/10. THE COUNTY EXPERIENCED
WIDESPREAD POWER OUTAGES AND TREES BLOWN DOWN OR SNAPPED.

TROPICAL STORM FORCE WIND GUSTS IMPACTED GLYNN COUNTY. STARING AT
830 PM ON 10/10, A WIND GUST OF 44 MPH WAS MEASURED AT JEKYLL ISLAND
BY A MESONET SITE (WEATHERFLOW). AT 905 PM, THE SAME SITE MEASURED
SUSTAINED WINDS OF 34 MPH WITH A GUST TO 42 MPH. AT 940 PM, THE
JEKYLL ISLAND WEATHERFLOW SITE MEASURED 36 MPH WINDS WITH GUSTS TO
42 MPH. AT 1015 PM, THE SAME SITE MEASUED WINDS OF 35 MPH AND GUSTS
TO 41 MPH. AT 1050 PM, A MESONET SITE ABOUT 1 MILE NNE OF JEKYLL
ISLAND MEASURED A WIND GUST OF 46 MPH. AT 12 AM ON 10/11, THE
MESONET SITE (WEATHERFLOW) AT JEKYLL ISLAND MEASURED WINDS OF 33 MPH
AND GUSTS TO 42 MPH. AT 1235 AM, THE SAME SITE MEASURED WINDS OF 31
MPH AND GUSTS TO 41 MPH. AT 145 AM ON 10/11, THE SAME SITE MEASURED
WINDS OF 31 MPH AND GUSTS TO 41 MPH.

WARE COUNTY EXPERIENCED TROPICAL STORM FORCE WIND GUSTS. AT 1215 AM
ON 10/11, THE ASOS STATION AT THE WAYCROSS-WARE COUNTY AIRPORT
MEASURED A WIND GUST OF 43 MPH.

TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS DID NOT DIRECTLY IMPACT FLAGLER COUNTY,
HOWEVER SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS DID PRODUCE TROPICAL STORM FORCE
WIND GUSTS. ON 10/9 AT 0415 AM, A TREE WAS BLOWN DOWN IN THE WEST
SECTION OF PALM COAST IN A SQUALL PER EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT. AT 0941
AM, A SKYWARN STORM SPOTTER MEASURED A WIND GUST OF 42 MPH IN
FLAGLER BEACH. AT 1022 AM, A TREE WAS BLOWN DOWN ALONG US HIGHWAY 1
AT OLD KINGS ROAD PER THE COUNTY SHERIFF. ON 10/10, AT 330 PM,
NUISANCE FLOODING WAS REPORTED IN NORTHERN FLAGLER BEACH NEAR THE
INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY PER A SKYWARN STORM SPOTTER. SEA WATER WAS UP
TO THE STEPS OF THE DOCKS ALONG THE INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY. AT 456
PM, A SKYWARN STORM SPOTTER MEASURED A WIND GUST OF 44 MPH IN
FLAGLER BEACH. STORM TOTAL RAINFALL MEASURED AT THE EMERGENCY
OPERATIONS CENTER IN BUNNELL WAS 1.87 INCHES.
