Gusty north winds will continue to decrease through the day, but low humidity levels will still lead to elevated fire danger east of U.S. Highway 81. Attention then turns to a major winter storm which will impact the region this weekend, bringing areas of heavy snow and possible blizzard conditions. Much cooler air settles in for a few days early next week.
