...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central South Carolina, including the
  following counties, Edgefield, Lexington and Saluda.

* WHEN...Until 815 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 611 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Lexington, Batesburg-Leesville, Red Bank, Oak Grove, Saluda,
    Saluda County Airport, Gilbert, Summit, Hibernia, Delmar,
    Circle Fire Station, Kneece, Emory, Fredonia, Cedar Grove
    Fire Station, Saluda Co Sheriff`s Office, Saluda High School,
    South Shore Marina, Camp Kinard and Murray.
  - This includes Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile
    markers 44 and 59.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a
flooded roadway or around barricades. Turn around, don`t drown.
