Subject:Changes in Flood Stage and Flood Categories for Schoharie
Creek at Gilboa Bridge (GBRN6)


Effective June 6, 2024, the National Weather Service will change
the flood stage and flood category stages for the stream gage at
Gilboa Bridge on the Schoharie Creek. The new flood stage and
categories will be referenced in flood warnings, flood statements,
and flood advisories. This change is part of a recent re-
evaluation of the flood plain with local emergency managers.

Flood stage and categories will be adjusted as follows:

Current                Updated
Action stage 15 17
Flood stage 17 19
Moderate flood stage 19 22
Major flood stage 22 25
