...GALE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM EDT SATURDAY...

* WHAT...West winds 25 to 35 knots with gusts up to 45 knots and
  waves 8 to 11 feet.

* WHERE...The open waters of Lake Erie from Ripley to Buffalo NY.

* WHEN...Until 8 AM EDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
  capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for severe conditions.

...LOW WATER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...For the Small Craft Advisory, west winds 20 to 30 knots
  with gusts up to 45 knots and waves 3 to 6 feet. For the Low
  Water Advisory, abnormally low water levels expected.

* WHERE...The nearshore waters of Lake Erie from Maumee Bay to
  Vermilion OH.

* WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 10 AM EDT Saturday.
  For the Low Water Advisory, until 10 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. Below
  normal water levels will result in hazardous navigating
  conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strong west-southwest winds are causing
  the water levels to drop over the western basin of Lake Erie
  today. Water levels will continue to fall, reaching near or just
  slightly below the critical low water mark of 15 inches around
  Toledo for safe marine navigation this afternoon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
vessels, should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions.

Mariners should navigate shallow waters with extreme caution due
to below normal water levels.
