Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Kentucky

...Low Relative Humidity on Thursday Afternoon...
.DISCUSSION...Winds will diminish this evening and humidities moderate
ahead of an approaching cold front. This cold front will move
through eastern Kentucky later tonight, bringing light showers to
the area. A few showers may linger early Wednesday morning near
the VA border. Rainfall amounts continue to look light, with most
locations receiving less than a tenth of an inch. Following the
potential for some patchy frost in the valleys Thursday morning,
another dry day will be on tap, with afternoon minimum relative
humidity values dropping into the 20 to 30 percent range. However,
20 foot winds look to average less than 10 mph. Warmer weather
and small chances of rain return by the end of the work week and
through the weekend.
