.DISCUSSION...
A cold front crosses the area this morning, bringing scattered
showers. Winds quickly turn northwest behind the front this
afternoon, with gusts of 20-25mph across most of the area. This is
going to result in excellent smoke dispersion today. Min RH values
around 30-35pct.
High pressure builds in behind the front, bringing some cooler
temperatures Thursday and Friday. Winds become northeast to east
Thursday, then southeast on Friday. Dry conditions expected as min
RH values drop to 35-40pct Thursday, then for Friday the lowest RH
of 30-35pct will be east of the Blue Ridge, with 35-45pct west of
the Blue Ridge. Smoke dispersion varies, though is forecast to be
poor to fair over most of the area Thursday, then become good on
Friday.
Temperatures warm once again into the weekend, with well above
normal temperatures likely into the start of next week.
