...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO
8 AM EDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow expected, especially late this
  afternoon and this evening. By sunrise on Thursday, expect snow
  accumulations of 6 to 10 inches, except 10 to 13 inches in the
  high terrain between Twin Lakes and Houghton, including South
  Range, Painesdale and Toivola. West winds gusting to as high as
  40 mph today and to 35 mph tonight.

* WHERE...Northern Houghton County.

* WHEN...From 2 PM this afternoon to 8 AM EDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could become very difficult. Patchy blowing
  snow will significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous
  conditions will impact the evening commute today and the
  morning commute on Thursday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM THIS
AFTERNOON TO 8 AM EDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Lake effect snow expected. By sunrise on Thursday, expect
  snow accumulations of 5 to 9 inches, greatest over the higher
  terrain of Keweenaw County and in Ontonagon County to the north
  of Mass City. Snow accumulations will only range from 1 to 3
  inches from Bergland to Bruce Crossing and Paulding. West winds
  gusting to as high as 40 mph today and to 35 mph tonight near
  the lakeshore of Ontonagon County and in Keweenaw County.

* WHERE...Keweenaw and Ontonagon Counties.

* WHEN...From 2 PM this afternoon to 8 AM EDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could become difficult. Patchy blowing snow
  will significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions
  will impact the evening commute today and the morning commute on
  Thursday.
