THE SEPTEMBER THROUGH NOVEMBER FALL SEASON WAS NEAR NORMAL IN
TEMPERATURES AND WETTER THAN NORMAL AT THE GRAND FORKS INTERNATIONAL
AIRPORT. THE MEAN TEMPERATURE OF 41.4 DEGREES WAS 0.6 DEGREES BELOW
NORMAL.

THE TOTAL PRECIPITATION FOR THE SEASON OF 12.57 INCHES WAS 7.60
INCHES ABOVE NORMAL. THIS WAS DUE MAINLY TO THUNDERSTORMS IN THE
SEPTEMBER TIME FRAME THAT DROPPED RECORD RAINFALLS. THE AMOUNT OF
RAINFALL FOR THE SEASON BROKE THE OLD RECORD OF 10.96 INCHES
PREVIOUSLY SET IN 2008.

TOTAL SNOWFALL PRECIPITATION FOR THE SEASON WAS ABOVE NORMAL. THE
10.6 INCHES WAS 1.4 INCHES ABOVE THE NORMAL FOR THE PERIOD AS TWO
SIGNIFICANT SYSTEMS IMPACTED THE REGION. THE RECORD FOR THE PERIOD
IS 35.8 INCHES WHICH WAS SET IN 1985.

REMEMBER... THIS DATA IS PROVISIONAL AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE. THE
FINAL AND OFFICIAL RECORDS WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM THE NATIONAL
CENTERS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION (NCEI).
