...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR WESTERN ST. TAMMANY PARISH UNTIL
1130 AM CDT...

At 1059 AM CDT, National Weather Service meteorologists were
tracking a strong thunderstorm over Madisonville, or near Covington,
moving northeast at 35 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm, along
with heavy rainfall.

Locations impacted include...
Covington, Abita Springs, Madisonville, Sun and Bush.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Heavy rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
localized street flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways. Heavy rainfall will also reduce visibility on area
roadways, including Interstate 12. Slow down, and be prepared for
sudden changes in visibility.
