Radio Weather Synopsis
National Weather Service Aberdeen SD
354 AM CDT Mon Apr 22 2024 /254 AM MDT Mon Apr 22 2024/

A system passing through will bring a 15 to 20 percent chance of
light rain or sprinkles for portions of northern and northeastern SD
through the early afternoon. Behind the front, winds out of the west
northwest will increase with gusts ranging from 35 to 50 mph, highest
across north central SD. Relative humidity values will plummet as
well, ranging in the upper teens to the lower to mid 20 percentile
range. The combination of the gusty winds and low humidity has led to
an elevated fire danger concern for this afternoon. Due to this, a
Red Flag Warning has been issued for portions of central and
northeast SD.

Highs for today will range in the 60s to around 70 with lows in the
upper 30s to the lower 40s as a weak cold front pushes through
tonight, which will keep the winds breezy. Cooler temperatures
expected across the forecast area for Tuesday with highs in the
upper 50s to around 60.
