868 FNUS54 KCRP 080821 FWFCRP Fire Weather Planning Forecast For South Texas for Texas National Weather Service Corpus Christi TX 321 AM CDT Wed May 8 2024 .DISCUSSION... Dry and hot conditions are expected today and tomorrow across the Brush Country with minimum RH values dropping to < 30% with around 15% along the Rio Grande Plains. Winds will be light and variable around 10 MPH. Air temperatures will soar to the mid 90s to around 105-110 out west. Dangerous heat indices in excess of 110 degrees are expected mainly across the Coastal Bend and Coastal Plains today and tomorrow afternoon-early evening. Cooler temperatures are in store over the weekend as a weak cold front moves though Friday morning. The boundary will move back north as a warm front through the weekend. Moisture will increase as the front lifts north. Rain chances will increase into the 20-35% range through the weekend and into early next week.
