  Ocheyedan River near Spencer affecting Clay County.

  Little Sioux River At Linn Grove affecting Clay, O`Brien, Buena
  Vista and Cherokee Counties.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa...

  Little Sioux River near Milford affecting Dickinson County.

  Waterman Creek near Sutherland affecting O`Brien County.

  Little Sioux River above Spencer / Highway 18 affecting Clay
  County.

  Little Sioux River at Cherokee affecting Cherokee County.

  Little Sioux River at Spencer affecting Clay County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Ocheyedan River near Spencer.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 10.5 feet, major agricultural flooding begins and
  some county roads are also flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:45 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 10.2 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:45 PM CDT Thursday was 10.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to remain nearly steady at
    10.2 feet through early afternoon Friday. The stage is
    forecast to slowly fall to 9.5 feet by late Saturday night.
  - Flood stage is 8.0 feet.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and minor flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Little Sioux River near Milford.

* WHEN...Until early Wednesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, significant amounts of pasture and other
  farm lands begin to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 14.1 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:00 PM CDT Thursday was 14.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    early Tuesday afternoon and continue falling to 11.9 feet
    Tuesday evening.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Little Sioux River at Linn Grove.

* WHEN...From Friday afternoon to late Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 18.5 feet, the city park in Sioux Rapids is flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 17.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early tomorrow afternoon. It is forecast to crest at 19.0
    feet Saturday evening. It will then fall below flood stage
    late Tuesday morning.
  - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Little Sioux River at Cherokee.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Old Highway 5 East begins to flood, and
  some homes, businesses, and roads in Cherokee begin flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 20.8 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:00 PM CDT Thursday was 20.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.9
    feet just after midnight tonight. The stage will slowly fall
    Friday morning, and then start falling more quickly in the
    afternoon. The stage should drop to 19.5 feet by Saturday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, city sewers in Spencer can begin to back
  up. Highway 18 between Spencer and Dickens can start flooding if
  flows on the tributary creeks are also very high.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:15 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 13.3 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:15 PM CDT Thursday was 13.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.4
    feet tomorrow morning.
  - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
