Generalized Statewide Coastal Waters Forecast for Hawaii

.Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters...
High pressure northeast of the state will drift east as a front
approaches the islands from the northwest. The front will weaken
into a trough over the islands Friday. An upper low will move
across the islands late Friday through Saturday which will bring
an increase for heavy showers and potential thunderstorms.

Hawaiian waters within 40 nautical miles including the channels-

.TODAY...East winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 3 to 4 feet. Wave
Detail: East 4 feet at 7 seconds. Scattered showers.
.TONIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY...East winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 3 to
5 feet. Wave Detail: East 4 feet at 7 seconds and south southwest
building to 3 feet at 18 seconds. Scattered showers.
.THURSDAY NIGHT...Northeast to east winds up to 10 knots Kauai
waters. Elsewhere, east to southeast winds 5 to 15 knots. Wave
Detail: East 3 feet at 7 seconds and south southwest 3 feet at 16
seconds. Scattered showers.
.FRIDAY and FRIDAY NIGHT...Southeast winds 5 to 15 knots eastern
waters. Northeast to east winds up to 10 knots Western waters.
Seas 4 to 6 feet. Scattered showers with isolated thunderstorms.
.SATURDAY and SUNDAY...East winds 5 to 15 knots increasing to 10
to 20 knots Sunday. Seas 3 to 5 feet. Numerous showers with
isolated thunderstorms.
