The National Weather Service in Jacksonville has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from Altamaha Sound to Fernandina Beach FL out 20
  NM...
  Waters from Altamaha Sound GA to Fernandina Beach FL from 20 to 60
  NM...

* Until 1030 AM EDT.

* At 855 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing
  waterspouts were located along a line extending from 31 nm
  northwest of St. Simons Island to 14 nm northwest of Amelia City,
  moving east at 45 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to nearly 50 knots, and large
           hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Large hail could
           result in structural damage.

* Locations impacted include...
  Buoy Hlha, High Point, Buoy F, Jekyll Island, Buoy Cdh, St Simons
  Island Village, St. Simons Island, Saint Andrews Sound, Buoy Kby,
  Dungeness, Saint Marys Entrance Buoy 16, St Simons Sound Buoy 9,
  and Cumberland Island.
