623 FNUS74 KLIX 111222 FWSLIX Spot Forecast for O-04, O-2N, O-5...USFWS National Weather Service New Orleans LA 722 AM CDT Sat May 11 2024 If conditions become unrepresentative, contact the National Weather Service. We can be reached at (985) 649-0357 if you have questions or concerns with this forecast. .DISCUSSION... Northerly winds are in place following behind a cold front that passed. Humidity will remain around or less than the 40 percent range behind the front for today. As a surface high passes to the north settles into the area, winds will shift from northerly to the southeast. The new week will see a low pressure system bring higher rain chances, humidity, and persistent southeast winds. .REMARKS... UPDATE FOR TIMING OF SEA BRZ 1) There will be a sea brz moving through this location today. North wind should remain until at least 5 pm. Some guidance brings this sea brz through around 6pm for this location but not far west (several miles)of this location, this shift in wind direction comes in earlier around 4pm, so this shows that it could occur earlier than indicated. 2) Reasonably high confidence in these RH values but they could fall as low as the upper 20s briefly during the warmest part of the day after noon today. 3) No fog expected tonight/Sun morning. .TODAY...
