The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Newton County in southwestern Missouri...
  Northern McDonald County in southwestern Missouri...
  Southeastern Jasper County in southwestern Missouri...

* Until 415 PM CDT.

* At 329 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Seneca, or 11
  miles west of Neosho, moving east at 35 mph.

  HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
           wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Southern Joplin, Neosho, Seneca, Granby, Sarcoxie, Goodman,
  Diamond, Loma Linda, Leawood, Fairview, Saginaw, Newtonia, Stella,
  Redings Mill, Wentworth, Stark City, Shoal Creek Estates, Ritchey,
  Rocky Comfort, and Racine.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 44 between mile markers 1 and 5, and between mile markers
26 and 32.
 Interstate 49 between mile markers 11 and 34.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for southeastern
Kansas...and southwestern Missouri.
