 ...The Flood Warning Continues for the Following Rivers in North
Central Montana...

 Milk River near Havre
 Milk River near Harlem
 Big Sandy Creek near Havre
 Lodge Creek near International Border


. Widespread flooding due to snowmelt from warm temperatures will
continue to impact portions of north-central Montana through the
weekend and into next week. The most severe flooding continues to
affect the Milk River and its tributaries.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn Around...Don`t Drown. Motorists should not attempt to drive
through water flowing over the road.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Milk River at Havre.
* until Sunday evening...Or until the warning is cancelled.
* At  7:15 PM Saturday the stage was 10.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall and is expected to drop
  below flood stage on Sunday.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Milk River near Harlem.
* until Tuesday May 01...Or until the warning is cancelled.
* At  7:30 PM Saturday the stage was 24.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 25.3 feet by
  Monday. The river is forecast to remain above flood stage through
  at least Tuesday.
* Impacts...Flood waters will continue to surround the water
  treatment plant on the south side of Chinook. Flood waters will
  continue to impact portions of Chinook and Harlem. Areas not
  seeing flooding yet may begin to see flooding as river levels
  rise into early next week. Flooding will be exacerbated in areas
  near 30 Mile Creek.

  the Big Sandy Creek at Havre.
* until late Sunday night...Or until the warning is cancelled.
* At  7:30 PM Saturday the stage was 10.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 8.5 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall and is expected to fall
  below flood stage late Sunday.
* Impacts...Road 50 has been washed out. Frequently used pastures
  will remain flooded until the river level falls.

* At  7:25 PM Saturday the stage was 9.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 10.4 feet late
  tonight. the river is expected to fall below flood stage on
  Tuesday.
