Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest Arkansas...
Northwest Louisiana...East Texas...and Extreme Southeast Oklahoma
National Weather Service Shreveport LA
555 AM CDT Thu Apr 26 2018

.DISCUSSION...
A pretty morning for us, albeit a little chilly for late April.
The cold front is now well to our Southeast and the late night
gusty winds have laid down a good bit as well. Skies are still
mostly cloudy from Southeast OK and South AR into North LA, but
will continue improving. Rainfall amounts were only hundreths of
an inch for many sites with some tenth of an inch amounts North of
I-20. The highway 82 corridor received the most last night with
quarter to one third inch amounts. While we do have a slight
chance of rain mentioned for tonight, amounts will be even lighter
and fewer and farther between. The NW winds will keep up for
today and tomorrow as we do have another weak cold front arriving,
but a change in the pattern will bring Southeasterly flow for
both 20ft and transport into the picture for us by Sunday. In
fact, all of next week will be warm with Southerly flow continuing
and our next widespread rainfall event setting up for the middle
and latter parts of next week.
